We are now scheduling COVID vaccine appointments for pediatric patients ages 5-11!
Our vaccine clinics are being done in partnership with Cub Foods. Cub Foods pharmacists and nurses are helping in our effort to immunize your family.
We will be administering Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, which is given in a two-dose series, three weeks apart.
First dose appointments can only be scheduled through our patient portal. A second appointment will be scheduled three weeks later at the same time and place by our Southdale Pediatrics team–THIS APPOINTMENT WILL NOT BE VIEWABLE ON THE PATIENT PORTAL. At this time, we are only offering COVID vaccine appointments in our vaccine clinics and are unable to offer them during well child checks.
Due to staffing and supply constraints, we are unable to offer COVID vaccine to those 12 years of age or older during these clinics.
Two days prior to your appointment, you will receive an email, phone, or text message reminder about your appointment. Please bring a copy of your prescription drug card, which Cub will use to run the vaccine information through your insurance plan.
Please wear a mask in our offices and reschedule your appointment if your child is ill on the day of their appointment. Your child will be asked to wait in our office for 15 minutes after their vaccine is given to monitor for any immediate side effects.
Children ages 5-11 who have had COVID infection in the past can receive their COVID vaccine if they are 10 days past their positive test results or the start of their symptoms. Children who have had COVID and received monoclonal antibody treatment need to wait 90 days to receive the vaccine.
COVID vaccine can be given at any time in respect to other vaccines. There is no need to space COVID vaccine out from flu vaccine. We are not able to offer any vaccines other than COVID during these clinics.
