Why did you choose pediatrics?
I enjoy working with children because of their natural ability to stay lighthearted and not take themselves too seriously. They have a remarkable way of finding joy in everyday moments, which I find both refreshing and inspiring. I also value their honesty and genuinely enjoy hearing their unique perspectives on the world.
What do you enjoy most about Southdale Pediatrics?
The people that I work with; both staff and patients/families. I enjoy the sense of community and the collaborative nature of the group. I also like the turtles in the lobby!
What do you like to do for fun?
My son and I love exploring new parks with our dog—it’s one of our favorite things. When I’m not with him, you’ll usually find me reading. I also enjoy anything physically active; I taught group exercise classes in college, which sparked a lasting passion for fitness. I also enjoy crocheting and Legos!
What is your favorite place to visit in Minnesota?
My favorite place to visit is the small town by dad grew up in on the Iron Range in northern Minnesota. I love visiting throughout the year. In the summer, I enjoy spending time on the lake, and in the winter, skiing is the go-to activity. Of course, no trip is complete without a sauna—no matter the season!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Hudson, Wisconsin.
