Get to Know Christa Langer, MD

Why did you choose pediatrics?

When I first decided to become a doctor, I could only see myself as a pediatrician as I’ve always loved being around children and getting to see the world through their eyes. Happily, my medical school rotation confirmed that pediatrics is my home.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love spending time with my family. We love to boat, water ski, wake surf, downhill ski, attend concerts, travel, go to Disney, be involved in our church and watch Iowa State and Minnesota (Wild, Vikings, etc.) sports. I enjoy playing piano, playing saxophone in an alumni band and singing.

What is your favorite place to visit in Minnesota?

Gull Lake. I love getting “up North” and spending all day out on the boat with the family.

Ames, Iowa.
