Why did you choose pediatrics?
Preventive care is at the heart of pediatrics which is very important to me. Getting to know families and working together to raise healthy, resilient kids both mentally and physically is why I chose to be a pediatrician.
What do you enjoy most about Southdale Pediatrics?
I absolutely love how closely we work together to provide the best care for our patients. I know I can ask any of my partners for their opinion at anytime. It’s like I have seven other consultants right outside my door. Our patients benefit from this collaboration every single day. I also like the fact that if I am not in the office, my patients will be cared for by one of my board-certified pediatrician partners.
What do you like to do for fun?
I love to hike and bike with my family, and I love to read. Gardening is my happy place. Strength training is how I define “me time.” I enjoy cooking and trying cuisines from all over the world. I’m very involved with my community; I teach Sunday school and run a community food shelf with my friends.
What is your favorite place to visit in Minnesota?
Two Harbors and the North Shore
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Pakistan. I am still in touch with my high school and college friends. I love Pakistani cuisine, and love to visit friends and family in Pakistan.
