Why did you choose pediatrics?
I love working with children and their parents. It’s such a privilege to help families navigate each stage of childhood, and to be a resource for parents. My particular interests are adolescent medicine, mental health, and working with patients with developmental issues.
What do you enjoy most about Southdale Pediatrics?
It’s all about the people. Each doctor here is unique in their approach but also steadfastly committed to their role as pediatricians and educators. The staff are fantastic and their enthusiasm provides a brightness and a sense of fun to our clinic.
What do you like to do for fun?
I like reading, watching Star Wars, putting together jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and following the NBA – go Timberwolves! Above all else, I love spending time with my wife and children.
What is your favorite place to visit in Minnesota?
The North Shore of Lake Superior has a special place in my heart. The Temperance River and Cascade River State Parks are some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Richfield, then moved to Bloomington in junior high school. I also lived in Oklahoma during college, then moved to St. Paul, followed by Des Moines, Iowa for medical school. Now I’m back in Richfield, a few blocks from my childhood home.
